I’m currently in my 2nd year at the Ecole des Mines d’Alès in the energy, environment and risks stream. I entered the school after two years of preparatory classes specializing in physics, chemistry and engineering science. Next year, I’d like to choose the specialization in risks, so as to be able to work in energy management risks. In addition, I’ll be doing an additional semester at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, during which I intend to deepen my knowledge of renewable energies.
Internship: Effects of explosions in tunnel networks
I’ve always been interested in research. I find it very stimulating to develop new simulations or new processes which can then be used in concrete cases and which will facilitate work on a project. I was particularly interested in this internship on the study of explosions in tunnels. I want to develop my skills in modeling and explosion risk, which will enable me to complete the knowledge I acquired during my schooling in these fields. In addition, this internship will enable me to acquire a certain mastery of Python, which I think will be useful in the future.
