Trainee engineer
I’m currently studying engineering at ISIMA in Clermont-Ferrand, after completing a PCSI and PC* preparatory class at the Lycée de Saliège in Balma (31). I chose the Information and Decision Support Systems stream. For my final year, I’ll be doing a double degree in data science and decision science, with a specialization in machine learning and optimization of high-performance algorithms.
Internship:
I worked on the development of intelligent models to replace analytical models for the calculation of debris trajectories and the study of shockwave diffraction and reflection.
During my five-month internship, I developed various artificial intelligence models using the Python programming language and the PyTorch library, which provides the modules needed to create the deep neural networks required for the problems addressed.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are fields I’m deeply passionate about. I was looking forward to combining the physics skills I had acquired during my preparatory classes with the machine learning, deep learning and data science skills I had developed at ISIMA. This internship will enable me to reinforce these skills and use cutting-edge machine learning methods. What’s more, the chance to focus for five months on creating artificial intelligence models applied to physics is a valuable and rewarding opportunity, especially with the rapid expansion of the AI field in recent years.
